2.5 stars. i really enjoyed the historical stuff, the alternate views of religion and why religions developed the way that they did (as far as traditions and belief systems), and the story was okay. again, like in angels & demons the who-dun-it part was over the top and there was just no need to go there. it's the rest of the book that keeps you reading anyway. i do wish this had more about da vinci, who is such an interesting historical figure, like angels & demons had more about rome or the vatican.
