this really was quite bad. and i mean the writing and the story, not just the fact that i really didn't need to read about the joys of new motherhood and of losing a baby. it read like a bad young adult book, if i'm being generous. it does have a nice idea of a parent leaving something tangible, like a diary, for their child to get to know them through, for those years that they will have not known or forgotten. but that certainly doesn't make up for the terrible writing, awful dialogue, and really unoriginal ending (not to mention beginning and middle). if i cried, it was for my own loss, not the character's.
